Though the beginning of Utthan was small, today the agency runs 4 centers.

The guiding principle at Utthan is:

Today, Utthan has 60 male trainees on roll. The trainees are of varying levels. The lower ability group and the mid-level groups come under Utthan Talim Kendra. The higher ability group works in the Utthan Utpadan (Production) Kendra

Co-curricular activities form an integral part of the program at Utthan. Dance, Drama, Art, Yoga, and Sports are important remedial tools. Their involvement and achievements in these fields enrich their lives and instill confidence; indirectly improving their performance and productivity

Utthan Talim Kendra

The focus here is imparting basic skills in eye-hand coordination and socialization, functional academics, and training in various skilled and semi-skilled jobs.

As a sequel, Utthan Production Centre was launched with financial assistance from Share & Care Foundation, USA in July 2001.

Utthan Shikshan Kendra

This program was launched with the aim of creating sensitivity for the mentally challenged by the people living in the location of Utthan and to help the normal, but underprivileged children of the area.

Umang Utthan Centre

There was a pressing need to set up a centre for mentally challenged girls. This centre, Umang-Utthan centre was begun in July 2004 at a different location.
