There was a pressing need to set up a centre for mentally challenged girls. This centre, Umang-Utthan centre was begun in July 2004 at a different location. But, with the enhancement of space, the centre for girls, “Umang”, has been shifted under the same umbrella and there are 12 girls of 14 years and above at this centre. The focus is again the same: training in skills to help them become self-dependent.

The Special people have the same feelings and needs as us. Hence, acceptance with love and understanding is the basis of all the teaching here.
